Solar System Puzzle With Pinoo Minoo

Purpose of the Project: To create a puzzle in which we can learn the distances of the planets in the solar system to the sun using the PinooMinoo card.

Duration: 2 lessons

Age Group: 7 years and older

Pinoo set used: PinooMinoo Card

Benefits:

● Recognizes the PinooMinoo card and learns its usage.

● Learns conductive materials.

● Algorithm building skill develops.

● Coding skill improves.

● Creativity improves.

● Increases productivity.

● Self-confidence increases.

Materials to be Used: PinooMinoo board, 9 crocodile cables, connection cable

Materials Required for Design: Scissors, silicone gun, silicone, A4 paper, colored pencils, transparent file, black, brown cardboard, aluminum foil and 2 shoe box covers (or if you do not have a shoe cover, you can create a rectangular base by using forex cardboard.)

Project Preparation:

1. As the first step for our project, let's draw a picture of the planets in the solar system and the sun and paint with colored pencils.

2. Let us cover all sides of our box with our black cardboard, except the top.

3. Let's cover the top of our box with brown or a different color.

4. Determine the positions of the planets on the brown cardboard we have covered.

5. Determine the planets of the black cardboard equal to the positions of the planets in the brown part and cut and fix the black cardboard.

6. Fix the 8 crocodile cables on the bottom of the box to the planets.

7. Let's fold the aluminum foil papers and silicon the points where the planets are.

8. After making the connection and designs, let's move on to the coding processes.

9. Let's use the Scratch-3 program to do our coding.

10. Let's connect our PinooMinoo card to the computer with the help of a connection cable. Let's enter Scratch-3 application.

 11. Let's search and download pictures of outer space and planets from the Internet

 12. Let's add the outer space as decor in Scratch –3 application.

13. After adding the decorations and planets, let's move on to the coding part.

Coding Part:

For MERKÜR; In order for the planets to return to the starting point when the game is started, let's place the code to move x to (-162) y to (-130) when the green flag is clicked.

In order to use the up button on the PinooMinoo card, let's get its code when the up arrow key is pressed from the Events menu. Let's record our voice by singing a song describing the properties of the planets from the ‘’sound add’’ menu and use the ‘’start code’’ to set the recorded sound. Let's use y (11) as git code.

For VENUS; In order for the planets to return to the starting point when the game is started, let's place the code to move x to (-108) y to (-124) position when the green flag is clicked.

In order to use the down button on the PinooMinoo card, let's get the code from the Events menu when the down arrow key is pressed. Let's record our voice by singing a song describing the properties of the planets from the ‘’sound add’’ menu and use the ‘’start the recorded sound’’ code. Let's use y (100) as ‘GO’ code.

For the WORLD; In order for the planets to return to the starting point when the game is started, let's place the code to go to the x (-47) y to (-118) position when the green flag is clicked.

In order to use the right button on the PinooMinoo card, let's get the code when the right arrow key is pressed from the Events menu. Let's record our voice by singing a song describing the properties of the planets from the ‘’sound add’’ menu and use the ‘’start the recorded sound’’ code. Let's use the (-42) ‘GO’ code.

For MARS; In order for the planets to return to the starting point when the game is started, let's place the code to move x to (13) y to (-12) position when the green flag is clicked.

In order to use the left button on the PinooMinoo card, let's get the code when the left arrow key is pressed from the Events menu. Let's record our voice by singing a song describing the properties of the planets from the ‘sound add’ menu and use the ‘start the recorded sound’ code. Let's use (60) the ‘GO’ code.

For JUPITER; In order for the planets to return to the starting point when the game is started, let's place the code to move x to (62) y to (-103) position when the green flag is clicked.

In order to use the spacebar on the PinooMinoo card, let's get the code when the spacebar is pressed from the Events menu. Let's record our voice by singing a song describing the properties of the planets from the ‘sound add’ menu and use the ‘start sound’ code. Let's use the y (-2) ‘GO’ code.

For SATURN; In order for the planets to return to the starting point when the game is started, let's place the code to move x to (115) y to (-121) position when the green flag is clicked.

In order to use the A key on the PinooMinoo card, let's get the code when the A key is pressed from the Events menu. Let's record our voice by singing a song describing the properties of the planets from the ‘sound add’ menu and use the code to start the recorded sound. Let's use (109) ‘GO’ code.

For URANUS; In order for the planets to return to the starting point when the game is started, let's place the code to move x to (178) y to (-120) position when the green flag is clicked.

In order to use the S key on the PinooMinoo card, let's get the code when the S key is pressed from the Events menu. Let's record our voice by singing a song describing the properties of the planets from the ‘sound add’ menu and use the code to start the recorded sound. Let's use (-101) ‘GO’ code.

For NEPTÜN; In order for the planets to return to the starting point when the game is started, let's place the code to move x to (219) y to (-113) position when the green flag is clicked.

In order to use the right button on the PinooMinoo card, let's get the code from the Events menu when the right arrow key is pressed. Let's record our voice by singing a song describing the properties of the planets from the sound adding menu and use the ‘’start the recorded sound’’ code. Let's use (21) ‘GO’ code.
